why photography?

Growing up, my family never had professional photos taken. We had plenty of snapshots—sweet, funny, and spontaneous—but not the kind of images you frame on a wall and treasure for a lifetime. When I became a parent, that gap inspired me. I wanted my children to have beautiful, meaningful photos that told their story.
So I picked up a camera.
Very quickly, I fell in love with everything about photography—the posing, the editing, the creativity, and the joy of learning something new each day.
